I am a thorough investigator and researcher who scrutinizes every fact and explores all potential legal angles for my clients. Whether defending against a criminal case or prosecuting a civil matter, every detail is probed to exacting standards to ensure my client’s side of the story is told as it should be and to develop the best legal strategy in the circumstances.
I have honed my skills over several years working for public policy organizations and academic institutions as well as through my participation in a variety of legal clinics and practicums while earning my law degree at the University of Ottawa.
Prior to commencing my legal education, I earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) and Master of Arts in History, with a particular focus on legal history, which has given me a long-term perspective and acute appreciation for, jurisprudential developments. I regularly combine my educational background with keen street smarts to advance my clients’ interests and am not afraid to put forth well-rounded novel arguments when necessary.
I regularly work on a wide range of criminal, regulatory and civil matters and have appeared before provincial offences courts throughout Ontario, the Ontario Court of Justice and have assisted senior counsel in complex disputes before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and various administrative tribunals.
