ONTARIO WELCOMES NEW LITIGATION FIRM

Chand & Co. will open its doors in both Toronto and Ottawa this March. The firm, founded by partners Pradeep Chand and Murray Snider, will focus on:

• Criminal Defence

The Partners met while working at a Toronto law firm and decided to strike out on their own to create a firm aligned more closely with their own philosophy and approach towards clients.

“We realized that we didn’t need a big firm structure to truly support our clients” explains Chand. “The people we represent don’t need a large machine behind them; they need specialized legal expertise from someone who understands their particular circumstances and can advocate vigorously for them before whatever court or tribunal they must face”.

Snider agrees. “We don’t worry about buying expensive art work or paying for an enormous network of support staff. Our focus is on defence strategies and being there for our clients. We truly are accessible 24/7 for them.”

Despite its small size, the firm has an unusual breadth of skills to defend clients ranging from sophisticated companies and institutions to small business owners and individuals. Due to varied experience and expertise, the partners feel particularly capable of acting for clients who face litigation on more than one front whether the issues arise in the civil, regulatory, or criminal context.
